Bike Redesign

Addressing safety and navigation concerns, key barriers to ridership growth, I redesigned the Lyft Ebike.

Navigation Prototypes
I adapted an existing navigation prompt to prototype
initial concepts. User feedback drove the development
of increasingly sophisticated solutions.

Onboard Navigation
Integrating navigation into the bicycle's head
unit ensures direct rider visibility.

Front turn signals
The turn signal housing provides protection for the brake calipers, improving durability and contributing to increased rider safety.

Rear Lights
The integrated rear light, combining
brake and turn signals.

Battery Charge
Designed for Lyft's in-dock charging, this bike features
LEDs indicating real-time battery and charging status.

Design Research Tool

As a way to verify my navigation research, I created the only Citibike compatible phone holder.

Easy Attachment
Phone holder was designed to allow for rapid
attachment and detachment.

Secure Attachment
To ensure secure mounting during even the roughest rides, the holder utilizes textured rubber for increased friction.

Universal Compatability
To ensure universal accessibility, the phone holder was designed to accommodate a range of phone sizes.
